Yum Hey What's for Dinner Mom?: What we've been doing

What we've been doing

Well the exciting thing for us this week was the sun coming up on the EAST side of Pioneer Peak. That means spring is coming. It also gave us an entire extra hour of direct sunlight. Score one for the frozen humans!

We also did some measuring,

And random hooligan shenanigans with empty bottles and food color

All supervised by the ever excited Kami, AKA the Kamster

Peace and Love,

  1. What a fun idea to use food coloring in the snow!!! I am glad the sunshine came out for you.

  2. Ohh fun snow idea! I guess you have to get creative w/ outside play since there's so much snow around, huh?

I'm jealous of your organizing. I'm in a slump lately and have all I can do to keep on top of the laundry and dishes, let alone make sure everything is in order!

  3. You mean you guys in Alaska get Spring before we do in Chicago? I really need to get out of here STAT!

  4. Oh no no no no! Not spring yet here by any means. The sun used to come up on the right side of pioneer peak due straight south at noon. Now it comes up to the east at 11-ish and was actually up even earlier today. We still have snow in April :( Oh well we get it back with 20 hours of daylight in the summer-

  5. LOL. Laura, thanks for making me feel better. You know, I really should have known more about Alaska and the seasons (or lack thereof?) better, this should be basic knowledge, really. I think I would like to invoke this sentence now as my defense: "I have the intellectual confidence to appear stupid sometimes." LOL. ;-)

Am I talking DIRECTLY to you? Well then let me know!
