Did you know there is a Lunar Eclipse on Tuesday morning/Monday night (for Alaska it's 9:30 ish) and an almost full moon? Our plans include skiing in the mountains on Monday night in the moonlight and a very quiet and lovely advent spiral on the Solstice. My oldest son, Hero will be in Kodiak visiting his dad for Christmas, we've never been apart on Christmas. I don't really know how I feel about it, but I'm trying to make the best of it.
Cans for comments is still plugging away! Leave a comment or 10 on this post or the Pumpkin Roll post and for every comment I receive we'll donate a can of food to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Palmer. I'm 'competing' (it's friendly!) with my friend Christina and she's beating me so if you wouldn't mind helping me out I'd truly appreciate it.
Come back tomorrow for The Penny Worthy Project, I'll be sharing what I made for Union's teacher this year.
Peace and Love--
Amen, Amen and donate some more cans
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on the eclipse. I'm going to try to wake up in time to watch it.
ReplyDeleteAww, I feel your pain about the Christmas apart from Hero. I'm not going to see my family this Christmas and it feels so weird!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're enjoying Christmas break! And I'm sorry I'm BEATING YOU!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are getting a bit of a chance to kick back and relax. Love the cans for comments idea! It's so hard watching our kids grow up and doing stuff on their own - sorry that Hero won't be with you this year - I'll be thinking of you!
ReplyDeletehope you find some time for relaxing during break.
ReplyDeletePrayers go out to you as your son is away. Always have an open ear.
Have a Wonderful Christmas with your family!
Buy more foods....The first time a kid is gone for Christmas is really tough.
