When Hero was 9 years old we discovered he had type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease. He has been an insulin dependent diabetic ever since. No one knows exactly what causes the body to turn against it's pancreas and keep it from producing insulin. It could be caused by a virus or genetic or even a wheat intolerance, it just isn't known for sure.
At this point I feel like I don't know anything for sure. I thought yesterday was tough with the exploding oven element but you know a kid in ICU trumps that inconvenience any day. Sure I'd like to cook food on a whim but I'd rather have my son home safe and sound. OK and cook for him and his brothers, at home, safe and sound. Can I have all of that?
Peace and Love--
Sending warm wishes to you and you son and all of your family. I hope tomorrow brings better news. If you want a shoulder just text or call. {{{hug}}}
