We've been poxed, Renaissance Faired, baseballed and gardened all in the last week. I'll admit that I haven't made too many new shiny yummy things to eat this week. I stuck pretty close to my quick and easy go to meals for ease of life. While I remember being laid out flat with the pox as a child, my child was not laid out flat. He was wild, whiny, snot nosed and awake for the better part of the week. *sigh*
In between all that fun I was trying to finish planting our garden, raised beds and various planters. And keep the chickens from escaping and scratching up seeds and seedlings. And keep everything watered but not over watered. And then watch while the wind whipped things to death. I said fun didn't I?
Then in between all that fun my husband was trying to finish getting ready to spend the weekend at the Renaissance Faire with boys. One of whom had the pox. (see paragraph one) Add in baseball and team photos and you get not much time for fun in the kitchen.
So I come to you all today asking you to please inspire me. Hit me with your best shot.
Peace and Love--
Laura
How about let's clean out the freezer to get ready for new chickens and new fish and new moose! I made a salsa caribou rost the other night, shredded it, and put it in tortila shells. YUM!
ReplyDeleteOops, that dosen't help with your NO MEAT theme today. How about clean out the veggies in the freezer and make a stir fry with them and some tofu and rice or millet or pasta...cheap food.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting. I’m a follower, and this hop is found on a page on my site that lists more than 250 hops, memes, and photo challenges… some for each day of the week. Check under the header for the link to that page. I’ve also just started a BlogFrog community that focuses on hops, carnivals, memes, and photo challenges. Go to http://theblogfrog.com/1504201 to visit & participate.
ReplyDeleteI hope you’ll visit me soon. I follow back!

I remember having chicken pox, but I don't remember much about it. Mine all got the "vaccine" at the docs recommendation, so I'm hoping they don't go through it. Sounds like an insane week!
ReplyDeleteThese carrot dogs are my new favorite lazy food. It doesn't hurt that they are dirt cheap either. Hopefully they will help you in your very busy and tiring week!
