Triple Chocolate Brownies

I'm going to start this off by saying, if you make this recipe please make it when you won't be alone with the finished product. They are lethal to any diet they encounter. You've been warned.

The triple chocolate brownies were the second item to sell out at my bake sale last month. The first to sell out were my rendition of a twix bar, the Twix-Tacular Knock Off, another treat you should not be alone with. I was digging through cookbooks looking for a super fudgey super thick NON cake brownie when I came upon a recipe that looked promising and I had all the ingredients for. I changed it up a bit to suit my taste, mostly by adding more chocolate and I doubled it to make a nice amount to sell. Best part of the recipe though? If you use a big enough pan to melt the butter in you can mix the whole recipe right in the pan, less dishes!



Triple Chocolate Brownies--oven 350˚

1 cup butter
4 one ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate
3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon almond flavor
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips

butter a 9x13 baking pan
melt butter in a 2 quart pan over medium-low heat
chop the chocolate squares and add them to the melting butter
when melted remove from heat
add the cocoa powder and sugar
add the eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition
stir in the almond flavor
sprinkle the salt over the top and mix in
stir in the flour until well mixed in
sprinkle the top with the milk chocolate chips
spread in the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes
cool in the pan, cut and serve from the pan or store them in the pan to retain moistness
alternately you can just huddle in the closet with a fork and eat these all by yourself, just a thought

Can I just ask this, does ANYONE like cake brownies?
