--I'm seeing BLTs with that gorgeous lettuce and I still have home smoked bacon leftover from our pig last fall or I might make a wilted lettuce salad, akin to this Wilted Swiss Chard Salad
--Mmm roll your own sushi with fresh frozen red salmon and avocado or maybe a winter Gazpacho? yum
--The nice big bag of Bok Choy made me think of Singapore Stew, which I haven't made in years.
--Lamb kabobs with peppers and onions, no real recipe; olive oil, garlic salt and pepper marinade and saute quickly. We butchered a lamb last year but you can find pretty decent lamb at Costco.
--Lots of fruits for lunches and I do believe I'll be making some Orange Cranberry Upside Down Cake. I subbed in some mandarins for something else, I can't remember what, but now we are flush with orange goodness.
--I think I'll make a carrot and millet loaf, we got a bag of carrots and it's a recipe I want to try out. Er make up as I go along?
--Dry Fried Green Beans are on the list yet again, I can't get enough of their garlicky ginger kick.
What am I going to do with one giant beet, this thing weighs one and a half pounds. Well maybe the Grated Raw Beet Salad or I might just pickle it. What would you do with the worlds largest beet?
Are you getting a Full Circle box yet? What are you waiting for?
Peace and Love--
Beautiful photos, those oranges/tangerines are looking particularly tempting.
ReplyDeleteHave you figured out your jumbo beet yet? As I sat here thinking about what *I* would do with that monster;) I wondered how (roasted/sliced/marinated in balsamic or white wine vinegar) giant circular slabs of it might taste on a sandwich or burger?
