Our Michelmas includes running mazes raked in leaves, an epic Michael vs the dragon battle, bonfires and usually dragon bread. This year was really no different, except our dragon bread was dragon biscuit bread. It was clear and lovely and heartbreakingly the end of summer and warm weather.

Michelmas celebrates St. Michael, the archangel who threw Lucifer out of heaven and his earthly counterpart St. George, who slew dragons. Celebrating their bravery gives us hope and strength to get through the long cold winter ahead. It's a right grand celebration you can make as big or small as you like. Have you slain any dragons lately?
PS Just Another Meatless Monday was a wash--our modem went down and I spent the day banging my head on the wall trying to get it fixed--instead of pushing on I hit reset and started over--enjoy!
Peace and Love--
