So are you ready for this? This week and next will be the last 2 days for the Penny Worthy Project to be post on this page. It's not going away just moving to another different blog. In an effort to keep this one all food all the time and separate out the non food items my husband and I are teaming up (with kids too, they wouldn't be left out!) to create a new blog called Thrifter Maker Fixer Farm. It will host the Penny Worthy Project or the future evolution of it, it will also house our DIY projects, out make do and mend posts and everything else we strive to achieve. So please do post here this week and next but do also follow us over to Thrifter Maker Fixer Farm too.
Second week of no shopping at Thrift Stores, I lie I went but was so disappointed I left with nothing. I did find an egg cooker but it was all plastic and I just don't trust cooking eggs in small plastic bowls. Why would anyone need an egg cooker you ask? Well the ability to walk away and not watch them for one and the fact that they cook perfectly every time for another. I consistently mess up poached eggs by over cooking them and they float to bits in the water too. But I still could not bring myself to buy it even for a measly 2 bucks.
This week was mainly spent planning our schools Fall Faire which went off without a hitch thankyouverymuch. When I wasn't planning and creating the fall faire I was painting and mudding and finishing up little bits of work on the kitchen. And in the evening I was studiously staying out of the way while the kitchen cabinets were installed. Also lets just say this, I have a lot of places on the kitchen floor that I will need to refinish after the kitchen is finally finished. *sigh*
